THANKSGIVING WEEK!!
Yet again another three day week ๐ญ! Although this week was quite short it was super packed with one of our main focuses being turkey trot. On Tuesday, uplink had sign waving and my legs were burning so bad but it was pretty fun because we got quite a lot of honks and funny interactions with the drivers. Throughout the week I added random finishing touches to my turkey trot outfit and before I knew it, it was turkey trot day!! I worked cameras for turkey trot and to be honest I was pretty confused of where to take pics so I'm glad I cleared that up with Ms. DeGuzman ๐. Also for turkey trot some of the 7th graders were gone and they went to A SKATING RINK FIELD TRIP. Like wowoow so lucky and fun ๐ฒ wishing I was in team 7-3 lols. For GT, we honestly didn't do much this week because of 3 day week and turkey trot but we did discuss interview questions and text to add to the video!
This week was interesting... I found the turkey trot to be really fun despite the fact I was melting and I lost my turkey hat so much times. But other than that, the race was probably my favorite part because the classes were cheering for their runners and also my friend ran too and she did pretty good ^_^. Sadly, I took a busted (??) camera that would put lines on the screen when I took some pictures so the running shot I got of the racers aren't gonna be used! ( which is a lowlight ) Another highlight was that It was Thanksgiving week and I ate some bomb food, it was definitely much better than last thanksgiving because I had a healthy friend group and my family actually interacted with each other ๐๐. I'm super thankful for them! As for lowlights, I didn't really have much this week, maybe just team pictures because of all the people. Who knew it was possible to fit like 5-6 classes in one box. But yeah a lowlight because we were trying to direct people but they just wouldn't listen. Like that one time for 8-2 I was trying to guide people to go in the box but instead they all surrounded the outside right of the box and It was a complete mess.
A lesson I learned this week is to be more appreciative, and I'm not just saying this because it's thanksgiving but it's like you never know whats going on in some peoples lives and how fast things can change so it's important to express gratitude and be kind and really understand boundaries. I think this can all be placed within appreciation because to appreciate someone for what they do and being in your life is to do those things! ( I hope that makes sense ) Learning this lesson wasn't like a movie moment where I had a sudden epiphany or something but I've thought about this over a while and having this November compared to last year, I'm super thankful for the people that surround me now.
