last week of nov! hello december :P
YESSAH ITS DECEMBER TIME!! Let me just start off with I love December and gatherings and just the holiday spirit. ( Wow, really sounding like a hallmark movie ) And this week in general was just super fun. There was a holiday dress out this week and it was somewhat exciting. The first day of dressout I wore these snowman socks, very comfy and great for the breezy mornings. 2nd day, I made reindeer headbands out of pipe cleaners and they turned out pretty neat.. Anyways, now that November was coming to an end, the focus shifted from Turkey trot and all that stuff to more yearbook, winter fair, winter decorations, stuff like that. For GT, the 7th graders went out during their lunch to interview people for our video while the 8th graders watched a presentation for JCHS academies. Lastly, on Friday, we had ISA bowling!!
Bowling at Schofield is without a doubt the highlight of my week. It was super fun and went by fast. I'm not good at bowling so it was nice to try new things and despite all the gutters it was very enjoyable. It's funny how we did the bowling ball air rub and we actually got good scores lol. Honouliuli was really good at bowling and they finished like 20 minutes before us in every round 😲!! Another highlight is that for GT were getting things done which is good, we might have to refilm some interviews because of camera line problems but I really appreciate what the GT 7th graders are doing 😁 They had some nice questions for the interviewees. Lowlights.. I don't think I really had much lowlights or not one to talk about, this week I just felt super refreshed and stuff.
My lesson of the week is to cheer people on! Small things make big differences and someones confidence can even spike from encouraging words, I realized this from dance because obviously we have to dance in front of each other but it's really scary even when we do it every practice. We cheer each other on and we are a team that doesn't take negative words or mindset as an answer. The winter fair performance is in about two weeks or so and that's nerve wracking but words can make a difference :).
This week it was especially hard to choose a magic note, all of them were super kind and uplifting but I appreciate Jewelyn's the most, she always has the kindest and thoughtful words to say and makes a lot of connections back to herself and just life in general and responds to previous magic notes! (Thank You Jewelyn ^_^ your magic notes always give me a positive lift. )
