Weekly blog: Aug 3

This past week went by really fast. My period was working music duty and since we have had lots of time to practice beforehand, it was pretty easy. We also started on intramural flag football and have went to work everyday except Friday for both advisories to score the classes and assist in guiding them. Other than this, on Friday,  Eliscia, Tyler, Kenzie, and I went to Honouliuli middle to document about the cross country meet and got to interview the people there as well as take pictures.

My highlights this week were being able to go to the cross country ISA. I got to meet new people and also have my first experience on going to ISA to further report about in GT. Honouliuli middle's campus was so fancy that we even got excited over the fact they had automatic paper towel dispensers. I also enjoyed working music. We played the same songs a lot though so I plan on fixing up my playlist to include more variety. For lowlights, I didn't really enjoy flag football just because it was super hot and I got an aggressive mask tan. Also, it was really hard getting people to listen when we had to instruct them for things like staying in the box.

A learning lesson for me this week was ISA. More specifically interviewing people at ISA to get more understanding of the sports and their feelings about it. I learned that in the future I should further my questioning. I can do this by using past questioning and adding onto that so that they lead into more information.
