 This past week was the second week of school and our first full week including MTSS. This week I mainly focused on interviewing the new principal, Mr. Greenland, and creating a reflection piece out of that. Other than this, l got to observe the others do their tv duties for the first time and stay in A102 during the broadcast. In all my other classes we began our curriculum and for period 3 leadership, we worked on public speaking.

    Out of everything this past week, I enjoyed being able to interview Mr. Greenland. It was a more friendly ( if that's a good word ) experience than I thought it would be. He made sure that my GT peers and I would feel heard even when we were the ones questioning and learning more about him. Another highlight of mine was my period 3 leadership, I enjoyed laughing with them and surprisingly enjoyed practicing public speaking with my bio cube. I said surprisingly as public speaking about me is definitely out of my comfort zone. For my lowlights, it’s got to be music mixer. It’s not part of my daily duties yet but the 7th graders and I continue to practice it. I put this as a lowlight because yesterday the right speaker wasn’t working which was a bummer.

    My lessons for this week is that we should understand the boundaries between harmless fun and fun that can affect people in their work. I got this lesson from period 3 public speaking because I could not stop laughing and almost made others laugh during their presentations which is a very bad thing.
